Katherine Harris Hearts Mitchell Wade

Two former senior members of Katheirine Harris' congressional staff say Mitchell Wade's budget request was denied. The staffers rejected the request because it arrived late and was ""filled with military jargon." That should have been the end of the matter.

Fate works in mysterious ways.

Ed Rollins said, "She told them [staff members] she wanted it done and she wanted it done now." Rollins was Harris' former chief strategist. Rollins quit after he told Harris her chances of winning were poor.

Why would Harris take such an interest in Michell Wade's request? It could be that Wade wined and dined Harris at Washington D.C. hot spot Citronelle. Wade also picked up the $2,800 tab. Ladies, this guy is a hell of a catch for you. Unfortunately, Wade has been convicted of bribing former Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Wade was kind enough to buy a house from Cunningham for $700 thousand above market value. Harris was also a recipient of Wade's generosity.

Wade, however, "needed a way around the campaign contribution laws," which limit contributions to $2,000 per person, Wainstein said.

"His solution was to have his employees and their spouses make contributions ... under their own names, then reimburse them - a technique known as 'straw contributions' that is a felony under federal election law."

Harris has refused to release records of earmarks she placed for Wade in Congress. It's a good thing she's found Jesus.
