Bread & Butter Politics

It's nice to know that Jeb Bush think conservative Christians are the "bread and butter" of Florida. It's also nice to see Charlie Crist trip over himself to woo to James Dobson offshoot organization Florida Family Policy Council.

I browsed the Florida Family Policy Council website and noticed there is nothing about helping the poor or relief work in places such as Sudan. There is a link for vote values. I did learn that FFPC track Florida legislative bills. This isn't a Christian organization. It's a 527 group of extremely uptight people who fool themselves into thinking they are doing the work of God. Republicans went after these voters in the 70s and now they are held hostage by them. The problem is the rest of the population has to suffer through the stupidity of the Terri Schiavo fiasco, vouchers and attempts at a gay marriage amendment.

Jeb Bush said that Christian voters are the bread and the butter. Does that make everyone else the gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe?
