Wolf Blitzer's Horrible Romney Interview

Wolf Blitzer softballs his way through his interview with Mitt Romney. Blitzer takes Romney at his word that he didn't mean any mean-spirited harm by 47 percent statement.

“Well, Wolf, as you know, I was talking about how do you get to 50.1 percent of the vote,” Romney said. “I’d like to get 100 percent of the vote, but I figure that’s not going to happen, so I was trying to tell contributors how I get to 50.1 percent. I think it’s always a perilous course for a candidate to start talking about the mathematics of an election.”

Romney clearly implied that 47 percent of Americans were freeloaders that felt entitled to food.

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. These are people who pay no income tax.

Romney also said at the fundraiser that no one handed him anything. Never mind that he lived off of stock options given to him by his late father. Translation: Mitt Romney had everything handed to him.
