Gov. Rick Scott: Birther

I didn't catch this lowlight from the 2010 Rick Scott campaign . That might be because there were so many other ugly moments from the Scott campaign.

In July, Scott campaigned in The Villages. Scott pandered to birther sentiments cast by an audience member.

One man in the audience asked him what he would do about President Obama's "birth certificate" and whether he could legally appear on the 2012 ballot in Florida - referring to now-debunked skepticism from the 2008 presidential race among some conservatives that he was actually born in Hawaii. "I'll have to look into it," Scott said.
