Domestic Partnership Registry

Good news on the LGBT rights front. The Tampa City Council passed a domestic partnership registry. The new registry will cover both gay and straight couples.

The first reading last month drew a large crowd of supporters and no opponents. The second reading brought out fewer people, but supporters gave a standing O when they passed the measure 7-0.

This is a nice time to rub salt into the wounds of David Caton and Terry Kemple. These two religious extremists have bashed gay people for years. It seems that they couldn't muster up a grassroot effort to stop the domestic partnership registry from becoming law. Caton and Kemple have no supporters. They are only good at gaining media attention.
