Prison Privatization Coming to Vote

The Hillsbororough County Democratic Party reports that SB 2038 in coming to the floor of the Florida Senate. The bill would allow prison privatization in several Southern Florida counties. An accompanying bill, SB 2036, would allow no state oversight of private prisons for the first five years. This is a pure pork bill for lobbyists.

The HCDC asks that you contact area state senators to vote against SB 2038.
