Rick Perry Handling of Bush Question

I have never thought of Gov. Rick Perry as smart. Ever. Perry openly discussed Texas to seceding from the union. Perry was asked what was the difference between himself and his former boss George W. Bush.

Asked what the biggest difference is, Perry responded: "I went to Texas A&M. He went to Yale."

There you have it. Perry couldn't name a policy difference he had with Bush. (Perry was Bush's lt. governor.) It seems Perry entered the presidential race and did not think about how he could strike out his differences with an unpopular former president. Perry is the Fred Thompson of this presidential race. Like Thompson, people will think he is great until they hear Perry talk.
