This is a picture of the 912 Project summer camp held at the Paideia School in Temple Terrace. The picture confirms my suspicion that tea partiers are like Star Trek fans and like to play dress up.
The summer camp's school curriculum is bound to bore the kiddies to sleep. Hard wrapped candies will be used to teach the gold standard. Apparently, the 912 Project isn't aware that President Nixon ended the gold standard. I wonder if any member of the 912 Project knows what the Bretton Woods system is? I seriously doubt it.
Another activity is kids sitting in a dull room. This is suppose to represent the 912 Project's idea of what Europe is. The kids will move into a brightly colored room that represents the new world. The real treat for kids is they get to clean up the confetti that drops from the ceiling. The lesson is suppose to be is that with democracy comes responsibility. The actual lesson is fake teachers using children for free child labor.
This is the only lesson that might be fun. It also shows that the 912 Project doesn't understand what socialism is.
Still another example: Children will blow bubbles from a single container of soapy solution, and then pop each other's bubbles with squirt guns in an arrangement that mimics socialism. They are to count how many bubbles they pop. Then they will work with individual bottles of solution and pop their own bubbles.
"What they will find out is that you can do a lot more with individual freedom," Lukens said.
It is just adults fucking with kids' heads. Tyranny? Absolutely, but nothing about bubbles has anything to do with socialism economic models.
