3. They cut a deal with us: They would hold him there & stop him fr any more terror. 4. But OBL prob f-ed up & started planning something...
Moore is suggesting the United States and Pakistan had a secret deal to keep Osama bin Laden hidden. I don't think Pakistan never had sincere intentions about helping the United States fight terrorism. That is no secret. Pakistan wants to Taliban to take control of Afghanistan. That way Pakistan has a friend as their neighbor. The Taliban views Osama bin Laden as a friend. Pakistan doesn't wish to anger the Taliban. That doesn't explain why the United States would want bin Laden alive.
Moore goes on.
9. And when he was no longer needed, or he was back to his old ways, he had to be taken out. WH, just say it: He was executed, period.
Osama bin Laden certainly wasn't needed by the United States. Pakistan didn't want to risk their own security or anger the Taliban by going after bin Laden. Osama bin Laden wasn't needed. He was a thorn in the side of the security of two countries. And does Moore believe that bin Laden would promise not to continue using terrorism or that he be taken at his word.
It's sad to see Moore gone cuckoo, though it's a reminder that we never know what stand point old friends are speaking from until they finally reveal themselves ... Melissa McEwan at Shake's Sis comes to mind here. I'm not sure if people of this ilk form communities within the left to try and find others who are crazy like them, or, after being pulled into the constant political cycles of spin and utter bullshit, they're unable to cope or leave the political spectrum... And eventually snap.
ReplyDeleteFor my part, I've mostly left the political realm. I like my sanity.
