Scott Gave False Numbers on High Speed Rail

Gov. Rick Scott's general council, Charles Trippe, sent Chief Justice Charles Canady a leeter admitting the governor's office gave the Florida Supreme Court false numbers on the high speed rail project. The governor's office was taken to court after overriding of high speed rail the Florida legislature and former Gov. Charlie Crist's approval of federal rail money. Scott won the case.

This was never about whether or not high speed rail was good for Florida. This was Scott pleasing tea party supporters. I don't believe high speed rail is a cure all. However, I-4 between Tampa and Orlando is a mess.
