Rick Scott Defends Using Fox News Talking Points

Rick Scott continues to show how politically tone deaf he is by pissing off the Black Caucus with several comments. What is was hysterical was Scott's defense of calling the Affordable Health Care Act "Obamacare."

On the health care law: "It's Obamacare to me. That's what it is," Scott said. When lawmakers asked him to call it by its formal title, the Affordable Health Care Act, Scott said: "You know, when I'm on Fox, they never call it that." Scott was on Fox News again Tuesday, his third appearance in 17 days, and he slammed Congress for not repealing the law. The lunch's lightest moment came when Scott jokingly called it the "Non-Affordable Health Care Act," and lawmakers applauded.

There is a reason why Fox News insists on using the term Obamacare. A former Fox News employee told Media Matters that upper management insisted on labeling health care reform as Obamacare. Fox News isn't about journalism. The network is all about dictating Republican talking points. Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks explains the Obamacare memos.

Well, I know what I would do if I received an email with that type of derogatory labeling. Just treat it as spam and straight to the trash.
