Meanwhile, Democrats -- with a minority of seats in the Legislature -- seemed to delight in the potential for conflict between the new executive and the Republican majority.
House Democratic leader Ron Saunders of Key West told his caucus on Tuesday that little would be accomplished by criticizing Scott. "He's done his job. It's now in our court. It's up to the Republican Legislature," Saunders said.
Saunders is counting on House and Senate Republicans to keep Scott in check. Does Saunders truly believe that Republicans are going to pass a budget that Democrats will like. Scott's political floundering has given Saunder's the opportunity to make the Democrat's case on the budget. Instead, Saunders has decided to punt. Fucking pathetic.
