Rick Scott's Use of Alan Kruegar's Research

The Young Turks have a good breakdown of how Rick Scott using Princeton University Prof. Alan Krueger's research to imply that people on employment are lazy. Scott's team falsely misstated Kruegar's research.

"The unemployed in the U.S. devote more time searching for a job than unemployed workers in other countries," Krueger wrote in an e-mail, "yet they [Scott's team] make it seem that the unemployed put little effort into finding a job."

The team, he said, "misspelled my name and misused my study!"

Scott's team making economic policy couldn't even get Kruegar's name right. This should give you an idea of the level of incompetence Scott as surrounded himself with. A member of Scott's economic team is Timothy Kuebler. The latter was part of a concret price fixing scheme that was shut down by the F.B.I. This is goinmg to be a long four years.
