Ron Klein Concedes

Ron Klein concedes by press release.

“This has been a hard-fought campaign, and the votes are in. My family and I are deeply grateful for the strength and support we have received from our friends and neighbors in this community.

“It has been an extraordinary honor and privilege to serve South Florida as a public official for the last 18 years. For most of my adult life, I have dedicated every waking hour to doing my level best for this community. It is my home, and where my wife Dori and I have raised our family. We love this community, and remain devoted to the families and businesses here, both today and tomorrow. We will always find ways to serve, because difficult times require everyday people to give of themselves to move this country forward.”

I find it deeply disturbing that Allan West is a Congressman-elect. West was given the choice of resigning from the Army or face a court-martial for torture. West resigned. West has ties with the Outlaws motorcycle gang. Some of West's biker supporters physically intimidated a Klein campaign staffer. West is simply unfit for office.

I found Klein's hateful and libelous TV ads against a real American hero not only be a disgrace, but un-American. His ads just got too annoying. Maybe if he stopped running his mouth and ran an honest campaign, he'd have a leg to stand on here. The people spoke and the people went West. Get over it and stop whining. The best man for the job won.

Anonymous, the people have spoken. As far as the best man winning that is debatable.

Get over it and stop whining.

And conservatives were dancing in the streets and celebrating the 2006 and 2008 election results. Got it.

Klein, like most Democrats, is a scumbag. Printing West's social security number in a campaign mailer is contemptible and a better real world example of torture.

Sounds like you need to spend some time in combat, Michael and gain some perspective on the things that become necessary during war time. Kill or be killed.

All things considered, West is the better man. He's more than worthy of being called one of the best and brightest in Washington DC.

You are aware the Army forced West to retire.

Klein's campaign releasing West's SS number was stupid. So was West's motorcycle thugs going after a Klein campaign oppo researcher. Two wrongs don't make a right.
