Heather Beaven's Closing Argument

Democratic Congressional candidate Heather Beaven makes her final pitch to voters. Having George McGovern in the ad is a nice touch. Holding a wine glass makes Beaven look like a limousine liberal.

Beaven has run a decent campaign and is light years better than her Republican opponent John Mica. Unfortunately, this is probably not Beaven's year with the disorganization of the Florida Democratic establishment and voter anger at the economy. My hope is the Democratic establishment doesn't cast Beaven off if she loses. Beaven has increased her name recognition in a race that most people originally wrote off. Beaven is young, female and a military veteran. She is exactly the kind of candidate the Democratic Party needs more of.
