Attorney Steven R. Andrews is suing to get Rick Scott's video deposition the the case of Solantic; a health care provider Scott owns. Solantic was investigated for illegally using a doctor's licence. The case has been cleared up but the details have been kept secret. Scott worked until days before announcing he would run for governor to hammer out a confidentiality agreement.
Scott has been accused of racial discriminating in his hiring practices at Solantic. Scott only wanted doctors that were "fit" and "mainstream." Former Solantic employee Dr. David Yarian said people at the company took that to be code for white.
Scott has touted his health care experience as qualifying him to be Governor. The moment anyone tries to find anything out about his various health care scandals he either blames someone else or refuse to talk about it. Scott's secretiveness would make him a horrible governor in a state that has Sunshine laws.
