Joel Award: Barack Obama

It is time to give out the Joel Award. The award goes to any celebrity, pundit, blogger or politician that purposely contradicts himself or herself.

Prop 8 has been overturned today. It is time to highlight the moral cowardness President Barack Obama has shown on the issue of gay marriage.

In 1996, Obama supported legalizing gay marriage when he ran for the Illinois state Senate.

"I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages."

Flash forward to Obama's presidential campaign in 2008.

"I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage."

On the bright side, Obama is willing to fight for AIG executive bonus pay.
