The netroots will love Alan Grayson's new ad. It is certainly better than opponent Dan Fanelli's ad claiming Obamacare will deny the elderly health care coverage. Politifact rated Fanelli's ad a pants on fire lie. There is nothing in the final health care bill that places an age limit on medical treatment. This is fearmongering that started with the death panels nonsense Charles Grassley and Sarah Palin were ranting on about. Politifact asked Fanelii to back up his ad's claim.
"You are asking for substantiation. I can't go to a page in the bill but what I can tell you is the country is $13 trillion in debt.
Can Fanelli explain what money borrowed from the Treasury Department has to do with every American required to have health insurance. Most Americans will have a private health insurance plan that isn't Medicare or Medicaid. Several CBO reports said the Obama health care reforms would lower health care cost. Part of that will be dependant on cuts in Medicare. I don't even think Fanelli read the CBO reports or understand the Left has been pushing for health care reform because the cost has been eating up the public and private systems.
Fanelli is exactly the kind of Republican Grayson loves to call a liar.
