Oil from the BP disaster will soon hit the shores of Florida Buck Lee of Santa Rosa Island pointed out how badly prepared Florida is for the disaster.
Lee said that "there are no booms in the Gulf." These booms would block some of the oil from hitting the coast.
They only have booms in Pensacola Beach," Lee said.
Anyone still think offshore drilling is a great idea?
Update: Gov. Crist has toured Pensacoala. The oil is within miles of shore. Crist is a well-known flip-flopped but I hope many politicians repeat his message.
"the thought of oil coming here, it's not the kind of thought you want to contemplate," Crist told the Tallahassee Democrat. "It's disgusting. To think this could be going on for months is very disturbing to me."
The one good thing in an otherwise horrible disaster is America is forced to rethink offshore drilling.
