Beth Reinhard of the Miami Herald got special access to Charlie Crist and report the Governor's relentless fundraising pace. Crist will wake sleeping potential donors and call on federal holidays. Crist raised $4.3 million in the first 50 days of his Senate campaign.

Crist is a political race horse. Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush had that knack. They had tunnel vision on the goal of winning and an incredible ability to build their political networks. Crist is absolutely killing Marco Rubio in fundraising.

Rubio is attempting to do the conseervative version of the grassroot fundraising created on progressive blogs. The failure of this approach is the Republican Party is built from the top on down. Republican voters aren't as engaged in online political activism. Rubio has outraised Crist online $140,000 to $51,885. Rubio is still getting killed. Open Secrets shows Rubio has only received $17,610 in PAC money. Crist has $255,404 in PAC fundraising. The GOP establishment is writing off Rubio for dead. Stray poll victories aren't going to buy Rubio commercials in the Florida market.
