Meek Attacks Crist on Stimulus

I wrote about Gov. Charlie Crist has not spent stimulus money for highway projects. Congress has asked Crist to move faster. U.S. Senate candidate Kendrick Meek is hitting Crist on delays of using stimulus money.

"It was easy for the governor to stand on stage in Fort Myers with President Obama in February in support of the stimulus," U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek said in a statement. "Florida is late in rolling up its sleeves to take advantage of these limited funds."

Congress has ranked Florida last in stimulus spending. Crist lobbied for the money and now he is in no hurry to spend the funds. Crist will not comment on the stimulus funds. Can anyone make sense of Crist's governing style? This is bizarre.
