So really, who is stoking the so-called "birther" movement?
Democratic officials and left wing bloggers like to pretend that the issue is a creation of Republicans, even though the claim that Obama was not born in the United States can be definitively traced back to Hillary Clinton-supporting Democratic blogs.
Members of the Hillary Clinton campaign sent emails implying Barack Obama was a Muslim. Those emails also stated Obama was born in Hawaii.
Who is Barack Obama?
Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii , to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel , Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita , Kansas .
Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii . When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya . His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia . When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia . Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta . He also
spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim,
but that he also attended Catholic school.'
The email goes on. It's Swiftboating-style politics but verifies Obama being born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I followed the Clinton campaign swears against Obama. I can't recall any that questioned the President's place of birth. The attacks were Obama being a secret Muslim.
Yankee Conferate ignores Republican Rep. Bill Posey's birther bill. Posey was asked if Obama was born in the United States.
"I haven’t looked at the evidence," Posey told Politico It’s not up to me to look at the evidence … I can’t swear on a stack of Bibles whether he is or isn’t.”
Posey's bill has not picked up a single Democratic co-sponsor.
WorldNetDaily and Free Republic have pushed the birther conspiracy theories. No one has ever confused these web sites as being liberal. WorldNetDaily and the Freepers are proudly Republican.
Can Confederate Yankee identify these Democrats that don't believe Obama was born in the United States? Yankee's thesis is the Left are responsible for conservatives believing a stupid conspiracy theory. The Left is responsble for conservatives not being able to fact-check and use the invention known as Google. If Yankee believes that then what does that say about the intelligence of the Right?
