Terry McAuliffe Loses Virginia Primary

What thrills the hearts of progressives everywhere. Terry McAuliffe badly loses the Virginia Democratic primary for Governor.

With 81% of precincts reporting, Deeds has 49%, McAuliffe 27%, and Moran 24%. Terry McAuliffe, the man who had the backing of the Clintons and had famously appeared on Morning Joe after the Puerto Rico primary, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and waving a bottle of rum to celebrate Hillary's win in that territory, has failed to break through in electoral politics.

Thanks to Youtube that video is on the internet.

Creigh Deeds will run in the general election against Bob McDonnell. Virginia was considered a swing state in 2008. Barack Obama beat John McCain by 6 percent of the popular vote. Virginia doesn't register voters by party. So it is hard know if the Obama factor will help Deeds.
