Marco Rubio to Crist: PLease Debate Me 10 Times

The election is a year away and Marco Rubio sounds desperate. Rubio is asking Charlie Crist for 10 debates. Rubio's letter to Crist is a comedy masterpiece. He compares their potential (but unlikely) debates to the Lincoln-Douglas and Goldwater-Kennedy debates. (the latter never actually debated due to JFK's death.)

Accordingly, I invite you to join me in a series of at least ten debates, beginning this fall. Organized by GOP organizations in each of Florida’s media markets, these unprecedented debates would cover a full range of state and national issues, while showcasing Florida as a national leader in promoting the very best political discourse the Republican Party has to offer. It is my great hope that these debates will aspire to fulfill the promise of the legendary Lincoln-Douglas debates and the Goldwater-Kennedy debates which were discussed between the candidates but never realized.

The last candidate to mention the Goldwater-Kennedy debates was John McCain to Barack Obama.

I suggest we agree to participate in at least ten town halls once a week with the first on June 11 or 12 in New York City at Federal Hall until the week before the Democratic Convention begins at locations to be determined by our campaigns.

Not only does Rubio not have original ideas. He has losing ideas. This is so sad that I feel embarrassed for Rubio and I don't want the guy near an elected office.
