Alex Sink & Bill McCollum: It's On!

CFO Alex Sink and Attorney General exchanged words through the media. Cabinet meetings are going to become far more interesting.

Sink is attacking the no-bid contract McCollum gave to Chris Mottola Consulting. McCollum argues the contract is legal and the CFO office has their own no-bid contracts. Sink replies the CFO office is attempting to eliminate no-bid contracts and McCollum is trying to change the subject.

What strikes me is McCollum is on the defensive and has yet to declare himself a candidate for Governor. Sink needs to not come off as too aggressive in her attacks. She must remain positive and liable while bashing McCollum. She seems up to the task.

  1. I see McCollum has plans to announce his candidacy.
There are a number of weaknesses he brings to the campaign, including a PSA that is so full of bad statistics McCollum should never be allowed to leave any public forum without explaining the calculations that say 1 out of 7 kids is the victim of sexual predators on the Internet.
If that were true, and the average family has 2.4 children, 1 out of three families would have a victim.
The number of vicitms would be in the hundreds of thousands.
McCollum needs to own honesty, after all, lying in a deposition about an affair was enough to Impeach a President.
McCollum needs to explain why his false statements, made under the guise of Govermnent authority should disqualify him from any Elected Office.
