Crist Dismisses ACORN Allegations

Governor Charlie Crist his party's allegations against ACORN are much to do about nothing.

''I think that there's probably less [fraud] than is being discussed. As we're coming into the closing days of any campaign, there are some who enjoy chaos,'' Crist told reporters.

Florida Sec. of State Kurt Browning blamed the bogus voter forms on unethical canvassers. The canvassers were getting paid by the amount of voter regisration forms turned in. That creates potential abuse. ACORN has been candid about the problems with the regisration forms. Of course, truth telling conflicts with the GOP's Barack Obama is guilty by association message.

Richard Hason proposes having the Census Bureau registering voters. I prefer a national Voter ID law. Republicans want people to bring their IDs when they vote. It would be easier if people were allowed to register when they got their ID or driver's licence.
