Meet Wes McCarville

Wes McCarville is running for Florida House district 29. McCarville is running against Republican incumbant Ralph Poppell. Florida Today has a bio on McCarville.

Education: Brevard Community College (associates degree); University of Central Florida (bachelor of science degree)

Political experience: Brevard Democratic Party (vice chair); Brevard County Young Democrats (founding president); Florida Young Democrats (military outreach director); Florida Democratic Party Veterans Caucus (founding member).

Other experience: U.S. Army Infantry, 10th Mountain, 4th Brigade; life time member of Disabled American Veterans.

If you care about reproductive issues then getting Poppell out of office is a priority. Planned Parenthood has a page on Poppell's stance on reproductive issues. Poppell voted to restrict access to abortions. Poppell voted to make fetuses humans under the law. That is the Right's sneaky way of setting the stage to prosecute doctors for murders. Republican back away from attempting to make abortion outright illegal because women would vote against the GOP.
