Whose Your Favorite

Pollster has a chart showing the favorability ratings of Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton. All three have strong ratings. Obama's and McCain's ratings are almost identical.

Obama - 60.4 percent

McCain - 59.6 percent

Clinton - 56.5 percent

The trend is the people polled seem to like all the candidates. Pollster could have polled some very generous people. If the poll is the be believed, Obama and McCain came out unbruised. Hillary saw a massive upswing in her favoribility. Maybe people just didn't want to admit that they hate a candidate.

Obama and McCain have star status for politicians. They're images are well crafted, but effective. Many people don't look at them as traditional pols. Obama speaks in hockey arenas and McCain yuks it up with Jon Stewart.

If the poll is reliable then the attack ads haven't worked on Obama. McCain's campaign stumbles haven't damaged his bogus Maverick image. That means this could be a very close election.
