Shorter Terry McAuliffe: Hillary Clinton wants to be President and Vice-President. Short of cloning, I fail to see how McAuliffe is going to help Hillary accomplish this ambitious goal.
BLITZER: Well, what about these reports that she’s now telling lawmakers here in New York that she’s open to being his vice presidential running mate?
MCAULIFFE: Yes. You know, it’s consistent with what she has said all along. She still plans on being the nominee. But she said, if I’m not, I will do whatever it takes to help the Democrats win this fall, not only at the presidential level, House, Senate, local elections. She’s raised a quarter a billion dollars, you know, $250 million almost. She has brought in people, 18 million people, more votes. So, she’s a huge asset. And whatever that role may be, she will be there to help the Democrats.
Consistent? Who the fuck does McAuliffe think he is kidding? Hillary was telling the media that she might consider Barack Obama as her running mate. This was while Obama was on a winning streak in the primaries. She is now campaigning for President and VP. Hillary's shamelessness is sickening.
Hillary can say with a straight face that she dodged gunfire in Bosnia and was against the Iraq war before Obama. These comments were hysterical and damaged her campaign. Hillary lamely attempts to spin her way out of those fibs and create new ones. The American people had one poltical dynasty that played fast and loose with the truth. Voters don't have the stomach for the Democratic version of the Bush spin machine.
Hillary hid her hawknessness and pro-free trade views from the voters. Hillary lost because she was a candidate that couldn't stand up for what she believed in. Is she for or against the Iraq war? No one is sure and that presents a problem. It certainly shows that Hillary doesn't have the political courage needed to be President.
