Quote of the Day

"I started criticizing the war in Iraq before he did."

Hillary Clinton, speaking about her opponent Barack Obama.

The Hillary Clinton campaign bullshit is getting thicker. Clinton says that Obama's stance on the Iraq war, before entering the Senate, doesn't count as him being against the war before her. My mind spins at her spin. The best the Clinton campaign could do to back their claim was a letter Clinton sent to President Bush notifying him that she would confirm Condoleezza Rice. Talk about taking a hard stance. If Clinton wants to start the clock at January 2005 then let us examine the record.

Today, security is so bad that none of the senators dared drive through Baghdad's streets, even in armored cars. Aside from the Green Zone, their only glimpse of the capital came from the relative safety of U.S. military helicopters that ferried them from the airport.

"It's regrettable that the security needs have increased so much. On the other hand, I think you can look at the country as a whole and see that there are many parts of Iraq that are functioning quite well," Clinton said.

The irony is Clinton toured Baghdad with fellow Iraq war optimist John McCain. These two have a history of looking at the war through rose-colored glasses. Those glasses are very fashionable touring the Green Zone with an armed escort. What I hate about Hillary is she talks to voters as they are stupid. It is insulting and illustrates she should not answer that phone at 3:00AM.
