NYPD Police Chief Debunks Giuliani

NYPD police chief Ray Kelly explained that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's billing of security expenses through the New York City Loft Board and Office for People With Disabilities is not standard procedure.

He said all bills for the police details for Dinkins and now for Mayor Mike Bloomberg are handled directly "through the police department."

Giuliani refuses to provide a logical explanation why police security would be billed through smaller government agencies that aren't directly related to law enforcement. The practice makes sense if Giuliani wanted to obscure expenses for himself and mistress Judith Nathan. Why exactly did Nathan need a security detail?

The smart thing for Giuliani to do is to come clean. This is a man that claimed he used enhanced interrogation techniques on mobsters. This story has been debunked. Giuliani's credibility problem is huge and is totally of his own doing.
