Giuliani Used Tax Dollars During Judith Nathan Affair

It is easy to see why Rudy Giuliani chose Bernard Kerik as his police chief. Both men spent tax dollars for secret trysts with their mistresses. In Giuliani's case: it was his affair with Judith Nathan. America's Mayor was married to Donna Hanover at the time.

Politico reports 11 Long Island trips indicated by credit card receipts. It is not possible to say how many of those visits included official business, but eight of them were not noted on Mr Giuliani’s mayoral schedule. The first trip to Southampton, Long Island, where Ms Nathan had a flat, appear in travel documents running from August 31 to September 1, 1999. Four police officers spent the night in a nearby motel, billing the city $1,016.20. (£485) Mr Giuliani’s schedule listed no events in Long Island that day.

Giuliani billed much of the expenses to the $34,000 to the obscure New York City Loft Board. Another $10,054 was billed Office for People With Disabilities. These tax dollars covered security and travel expenses. The affair is Giuliani's own personal matter. The cover up of the use of tax dollars shows ethically-challenged judgement on Giuliani's part. No one should take America's Mayor seriously the next time he claims to be a fiscal conservative.
