WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain said in an interview published Saturday that he would prefer a Christian president over someone of a different faith, calling it "an important part of our qualifications to lead."
McCain did cover all bases by saying, "But that doesn't mean that I'm sure that someone who is Muslim would not make a good president." He just believe being Christian automatically makes a candidate more qualified to be President. What he is basing this on is not clearly stated. I would prefer a presidential candidate with a firmer grasp on reality. He told conservative radio host Bill Bennett, ""There are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today." Should his failure to grasp reality be ignored because he is a self-proclaimed Christian? The answer is obvious.
Every President we have ever elected was a Chirstian what don't you understand????
ReplyDeleteThese Christian fundamentalist are really losing their minds. They think that they can create the foundation in the Middle East for the upcoming Apocalypse. John McCain’s remarks pandering to these folks are in direct conflict with our Constitution and shows he’s not fit to President. It’s sickening the role religion is playing in politics today, even the cowards in the Democratic Party are jumping on the religion bandwagon.
