Sales Tax Passes House
Marco Rubio scored a political victory by passing his plan to abolish property taxes and increase the sales tax. The bill needed 90 votes to become a ballot amendment. The sales tax bill heads to a hostile Senate. The earliest voters can expect property tax relief from Rubio's plan is 2010.
A hollow victory.

The more I think about this I wonder if it is UN Constitutional and certainly hope that angle will be investigated. Thomas Paine did a great deal of writing about the wealthy paying taxes on what they had .. he was by no means a socialist but felt if they were to enjoy the greater wealth of our society and hold more that they must pay tax on that 'more'. This way the burden is placed on those who can least afford it. Charlie got his 'citizen plant' cheerleaders out there. Meantime they're STILL trying to figure out how to give people their rights back. Where is Alex SinK? I'm not too sure she's a died-in-the-wool dem anyway but she should have mobilized or someone should have mobilized against this. But, I guess most of them have big lot line to lot line mcmansions TOO.
