The Iraq/Iran Loop

If you think the Bush rhetoric about Iran sounds the same as the President's 2002 remarks about Iran; it's not your imagination. The White House only has one script. Just like the captain of the Titanic only had one boat. The difference is the White House will swim down the same path no matter how many times USS Bush sinks in the polls.

A recent Gallup Poll found only 12 percent supported sending more troops to Iraq. The White House has responded by saying anyone who thinks the surge is bad policy is not supporting the troops. That worked in the run up to Iraq. Now Republicans such as Chuck Hagel and John Warner have expressed concerned. The White House is alienating their own party with their attack talking points. It's all the Bushies know how to do. They view America as a giant-sized version of the Republican Party of Texas.
