A lot of other people I have spoken to have concluded the same thing. The White House is playing kill the clock and let someone else deal with the problem. It's a matter of judgement whether that is any worse than being under the McCain-Lieberman illusion that Iraq is still winnable. The neoconservative have jumped off the sinking ship a long time ago.
