Jim Webb SOTU Rebuttal

Jim Webb's response to President Bush's State of the Union had something that has been missing from the Democratic party. Gravitas.

"These presidents took the right kind of action for the benefit of the American people and for the health of our relations around the world," Webb calmly said. "Tonight we are calling on this President to take similar action in both areas. If he does we will join him. If he does not we will be showing him the way."

I was stunned when I heard that. Webb told Bush he is on notice. Bush should be grateful that Webb is only a freshman Senator.
