Virtual Neighborhood Border Watch Program

The state of Texas is asking American citizens to help monitor their surveillance cameras through the internet. The program is called Virtual Neighborhood Border Watch Program. Metafilter member DesbaratsDays is wondering how long it's going to take for thieves to figure where the cameras are.

It gets even crazier. Connie Hair of the Minutemen said that drug smugglers and human traffickers will learn where the camera are and come in through other illegal access points. That makes a lot of sense. It's pretty bad when the Minutemen think it's a stupid idea.
