The Gus Bilirakis campaign sent out an email asserting "Phyllis Busansky will bankrupt our values." At issue is a 1991 Hillsborough County Commission vote that would banned citizens from wearing thongs on their private property. Busansky voted against it.

For years, while schools and growth management have gotten worse, the Commission has done nothing. They have banned book displays of gay writers, lost a court battle with public access television, accused the station's sock puppet of making a threat and so much other madness.

Not to be out done. The City of Tampa created a six foot strip club law that they don't enforce. It's all about publicity not solving problems. Bilirakis is shifting attention from himself to nonsense issues.
