John Murtha's Abscam Problem

I was willing to give John Murtha slack for his stand on Iraq. I was wrong and so was Nancy Pelosi for trying to make him Majority Leader. Murtha nearly took a bride doing the FBI Abscam stings. It's hard to run the cleanest Congress with Murtha's baggage.

The video was taken in 1980. Which explains why I don't remember Murtha's Abscam problems. I was probably watching Speed Racer back then. So cut me some slack.





I can't find the entire video. Murtha ultimately says, "I’m not interested — at this point." He left the option open that he may be interested at another time. Murtha's too tainted for Majority Leader. Especially after the nightmare known as Tom Delay.
