Crist Vs Davis Quinnipiac University Poll

The good news is the latest poll numberss are not as bad as I thought. The bad news is the poll numbers are still horrible for Jim Davis.

Charlie Crist (R) - 53%
Jim Davis - (D) - 43%

57 percent say they don't know enough about Davis to have an opinion. That tells me that Davis's strategy to have one-on-one sit downs with voters and avoid huge campaign rallies, in the primary, was a huge mistake. The idea in the primary is to get TV face time, get the base excited and define oneself as a candidate. Davis failed to do all three. This explains why people don't know Davis and he hasn't been able to raise money. Davis has had zero communication with the netroots and bloggers. I should know since I get slammed with emails from candidates.

The ten point difference is actually an improvement from other polls I've of Davis. That's the Foley bounce. Even with Katherine Harris on the state ballot, dissatisfaction with the GOP and eight years of a Republican Governor (leadership tends to shift); Davis still can't do anything right. The table is set. Davis forgot to bring the food.
