Jim Davis' Attendance

This got play in the debate last night. I thought I mention it. Jim Davis ranks 434 out 435 in least votes cast. Davis does have the excuse that he is running for Governor. I think if this is Rod Smith's best ammo against Davis than he is in trouble. Most voters could care less. George W. Bush didn't spend much time in the Governor mansion - when he ran back in 2000. Smith's job was to sell himself. I'm not sure he did that.

Update: Howard Troxler gives the debate to Jim Davis.

Both Gallagher and Smith came across as angry, sore losers who were grasping at straws. Both should have done their respective party a favor and dropped from the race.

Bob, then who will be the nominee?

If missing work while on the campaign trail were an issue, we would be hard up for candidates.

It seems to me like the candidates are taking some misdirected swings at their opponents, with the possible exception of Davis' jabs at Smith over US Sugar.

In the case of Smith and Gallagher, who are behind, that's either a gracious gesture for the likely winner or some seriously poor strategy.
