Democrats Leading In Senate Races

The conservative Wall Street Journal's blog Washington Wire reports that a Zogby poll shows Democrats leading in 12 of the 18 Senate races. The biggest news is George Allen is now behind Democrat James Webb.

Kids, this is the year that Democrats can take control. I'm asking you to to do your part to help out. Congressional candidate Physllis Busansky needs the help.

In the race for U.S. Congress District 9, Republican frontrunner Gus Bilirakis raised three times as much money than Democratic candidate Physllis Busansky between July 1 to Aug. 16 and finished the cycle with four as much cash on hand, according to new Federal Elections Commission campaign finance reports. Here are the numbers:

* Bilirakis ended the cycle with $1,189,620 cash on hand, after having raised $316,718 and spent $146,886. Campaign contributions over the entire election, have totaled $1,802,948.
