Some people think the looting is bad, but I think that a certain amount is good. It reinforces in people's minds that Saddam is gone, and that he was unpopular.
The looting was so good that pricelessartifacts were destroyed. "The violence, if unchecked, may spread to reprisal attacks against people," Amnesty International warned. Explosives that have been used against U.S. military were stolen during this time.
Good call, Instapundit.
Reynolds goes on to say the anti-war crowd was defending (Saddam Hussein's) torture. That is a dishonest argument. Who are these anti-war people that are pro-torture? It certainly isn't a vast majority. There are war-bloggers who defend torture. Reynolds complained that Guantanamo Bay detainees were overfed.
Pot meet kettle. Kettle meet pot.
