The problem is those numbers have included GED diplomas. Take that out and it's a different rate.
For two years in a row, Florida has the nation's lowest high-school graduation rate, according to newly released educational comparisons.
Florida is last among the 50 states with a 56.8 percent high-school graduation rate in 2005. The national average for high-school graduation was 71.5 percent in 2005.
The state hit the bottom last year as well in the high-school graduation ranking done by Morgan Quitno Press, which used data from the U.S. Department of Education National Center for Education Statistics and National Education Association.
This is simular to Bush bragging about a voucher program only 700 students signed up for.
