A federal judge let the St. Petersburg Times use a disputed name on a new publication for the time being, but he said the paper must use smaller print for the name Tampa Bay Times.
U.S. District Judge James Moody issued the order Friday in trademark infringement lawsuit by the owners of The Tampa Tribune against the St. Petersburg paper. The suit alleges the name is an attempt to confuse readers into thinking the publication is associated with the Tribune, which owns the rights to the name The Tampa Times.
