Bush's Latest Osama Bin Laden Remark

President Bush mentioned the name he usually avoids. Being in Afghanistan didn't give him that option. The White House press corps wasn't going to let Bush get away without asking about Osama Bin Laden.

"It's not a matter of if they're captured and brought to justice," Bush said at a news conference with Karzai at the war-battered presidential palace. "It's when they're brought to justice."

I certainly hope so.

I wish Bush was as obsessed with Bin Laden as privatizing Social Security. The man stubbornly locks into an issue (which his supporters like) and refuses to let go. The expensive Medicare bill and supporting Tom Delay are two examples. If Bush was captain of the Titanic, he would have chastised the passengers for boarding the lifeboats.

"I want to assure the folks in the lower levels of the ship that we are fully prepared to not only help you during the sinking of the Titanic, but we will move in whatever resources and assets we have at our disposal after the sinking of the Titanic. Just don't get in those life boats. They are only for the wealthy."
