Fasten Your Chastity Belts

This must be the day where I am bombarded with stupidity. Cue Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Women should wear chastity belts to prevent rape, incest and other sex crimes, a prominent Islamic cleric in northern Malaysia was quoted as saying Friday.

Abu Hassan Din Al Hafiz, speaking in the northern state of Terengganu, said chastity belts could protect women from a growing number of sex crimes in Malaysia, The Star newspaper reported.

The best way to avert sex perpetrators is to wear protection,’ Abu Hassan told a crowd of followers. My intention is not to offend women but to safeguard them from sex maniacs.’

Take a wild guess who Islamic clerics are blaming for the sexual assaults?

1) Women
2) Scooby Doo
3) Women
4) Women

If you guessed Scooby Doo you are incorrect. Woman are being blamed for wearing "provocative clothing and make up." Where have I heard men putting a guilt trip on women for being raped. CW, comment troll from the fire pits of Hell, in the Sticks of Fire comments.

Maybe she thought the cops “forgot” about those outstanding warrants. How is it people evade the police until they NEED HELP? 400,000 people at Gasparilla and nobody saw nothing? And how can we be sure she didn’t make all this up?

In CW's mind, this young woman just flagged down a Tampa police officer to report a fake rape and then get arrest for an unpaid debt. Does anyone think a chastity belt would have saved this woman from rape? If you are pent up with rage towards woman than the answer is yes. If you don't sniff keyboard cleaner for recreational purposes than the answer is a resounding no.

But think about all the benefits a woman could use from wearing a chastity belt...

well ... I hesitate to say this but from that picture .. I STILL have no idea how it works but part of me is laughing my ass off and the other part is .... well, horrified.

Always horrified by C.W. No one could really BE that anal.

That's what I always think and then someone is always proving me wrong OR getting elected to public office and proving me wrong.

funny you all !

Part of me thinks Sticks of Fire gets readers like CW because of all the stripper posts and lame guest bloggers. If Tommy really wanted to get rid of him he could just delete his comments or chew him out. I love pounding trolls.

CW represents a good portion of that blog's readership. Why is Rachel writing there? I thought Sticks was suppose to be about Tampa news, culture and history. Ditto to Kate's plastic surgery posts. The bloggers are so bad that they can't even stay on-topic.

Vox, Kate isn't a progressive blogger. Could you imagine Lindsay Beyerstein or Melissa McEwen remaining silent about the beat up homeless post at a site they wrote on. Kate did go to Rox Populi to write her usual you can't argue with an asshole ad hominem attack she uses on me when Roxanne linked to my post on Rachel. How progressive.

She's also dumb as hell. I could have told her a blog can get you in trouble with one's job. Yes, I understand she posts those photos because of her desperate need for attention. She got it.

Frankly, I can't thank YOU enough for your attitude and for standing up and being counted. I sooo got that when she (kate) said she was for the death penalty !!

Me: HUH??

The next morning I was in the bath-tub and apparently it was working it's way to the surface .. and I hollered, "What the hell kind of democrat is FOR the death penalty??"
I may not be as quick as you and also, sometimes my sense of humor gets stuck on quirky stuff ... but I usually pick up on that which is not genuine and I call you correct.

ohh and sorry to comment twice on same subject. mornings are rushed.
I don't believe C.W. is anything but another sticks blogger. So, I just jump off his comments to make another point. The sword always cuts both ways.
If the pattern serves i.e. off-the-wall bloggers to capture the slow seats, it stands to reason to create a C.W. for controversy.
